NEW MEDIA INTERNSHIP: PHOTOGRAPHY
Mayor Villaraigosa is currently seeking interns who specialize in photography and are looking for high-level political communications experience. Interns will gain invaluable knowledge in the areas of event and documentary photography, website layout, and political new media tools.
Interns will get behind-the-scenes access to document Mayor Villaraigosa’s Mayoral activities, and be granted creative responsibilities issues such as photo-editing and website layout.
Requirements:
*Applicants must be highly motivated, responsible, punctual, and committed.
*Applicants must have demonstrated photography skills.
*Applicants must have experience in photoshop and lightroom or comparable photo-editing software.
*This internship requires at least 10-12 hours of work per week. However, with more hours interns will be granted more responsibility and leadership opportunities.
College credit is available in certain situations; please contact yourcounselor for more details.

OTHER INTERNSHIPS
The Office of the Mayor offers internships to students enrolled as undergraduate or graduate students at an accredited college or university. Recent graduates will also be considered.
The Mayoral Internship Program provides a unique opportunity for hands-on learning for some of this country's best and brightest students. Those selected to participate will work closely with all levels of government, in addition to City commissions and departments, on a breadth of issues related to the team's focus area. Interns will have an opportunity to contribute substantively to the development and implementation of an innovative, ambitious, and compelling policy agenda.
